Apple iPhone 7 will have AMOLED display and all glass design

Apple will change their design from aluminum unibody to all-glass build, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, as Apple is changing things up in the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 release.

Kuo said that the latest research note that Apple wants iPhone 7 to stand out from the rest with all-glass design. This is because of the competitors flagship dressing their devices with aluminum, and iPhone 7 needs to stand with the rest by adding all-glass design.

If iPhone 7 still uses an aluminum casing in 2016, it will be the fifth year in a row that iPhone has done so, which means there is no longer a feeling of freshness to appeal to consumers – Kuo said on his research notes

Apple‘s determination to put new and fresh products, Kuo said that 100 percent, iPhones with aluminum casings will plummet to 40 percent after the launch of iPhone 2017.

The all-glass design of iPhone 7 will be superior from the rest, Apple knows that another factor is durability, Kuo said the company will ensure the experience with the material that will be used to fit the requirements.

Apart from forgoing the aluminum design, Apple also wants to ditch the LCD display for AMOLED in next year’s iPhone.

Apart from aluminum design changes, Apple wanted to use AMOLED in the upcoming flagship phones. Ever since, they are using LCD display, with AMOLED, it will be a huge upgrade from their current line up, plus it will keep the device lightweight considering the glass will be heavier than the aluminum.

Kuo said that in 2017, the iPhone will come in 5.8 inch display with curved glass, users are looking forward to Apple iPhone 7, which we expect in mid-September 2017.
