Samsung recently announced their two mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus. These two device will share the same design, but different in size. They are made from metal and glass, both will have infinity display and rounded corners.
The fingerprint scanner will be located below the rear camera, while the LED flash will be next to the camera sensor. The bezels will be thinner that their previous Samsung Galaxy A8 version.
Both will have dual camera set up, with 16MP, f/1.9 aperture on rear and 8PM f/1.9 aperture for the front shooter. They are both IP68 certified for water and rust resistance, with two SIM card slots. Internal storage are expandable via microSD card which can be used in the second SIM slot up to 256GB.
It will be powered by Samsung Exynos 7885 14nm 64-bit octa-core processor for both devices, Andoroid 7.1.1 Nougat comes pre-installed and will have Bluetooth 5.0 NFC, 4G LTE with VoLTE.
Samsung Galaxy A8 will have a 5.6inch fullHD (2220 x 1080) Super AMOLED Infinity display, comes in a 3,000mAh non-removable battery with 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage. Currently priced at around $588.
The Galaxy A8 Plus will be 6inch fullHD (2220 x 1080) Super AMOLED infinity panel, 3,500mAh battery, a 4GB – 6GB RAM, 32GB – 64GB storage. Currently priced at around $706.
