The Samsung Galaxy S8+ have 77 out of 100.
In the said test, both screens of S8 and S8+ cracked after a front-face drop down from six feet height. Since these smartphones are all-glass design, a front-face dro test caused several cracks appear in the rear panels, the side drops created a glass and button damage.
SquareTrade claims that the Galaxy S8 is the first smartphone they tested that cracked on the first drop test on all sides, this is why the said device is susceptible to cracking when dropped from any angle.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge received five and six out of ten in the same test last year, which means a 50 and 60 out of 100 score.
Another feature of Galaxy S8 is the infinity display, a 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches curved on two sides. It is unfortunate that the Galaxy S8 doesn’t have a single metal frame to protect the display, unlike the old model of smartphones.
On other test, the Galaxy S8 performed well in dunk test, since it has IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
No doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is the best smartphone on the market today, with sold out pre-orders and customer waiting to get their hands on the said device. In case you wanted to protect your device, you can still use a hard case, silicon case and other accessories to prevent it from breaking.
