The Samsung Galaxy S9 will be announced in a few days, and the company is ready to show off its newest device at February 25th event in Barcelona, Spain. Rumor has it that Samsung has done an incredible job on the Galaxy S9, leaks have confirmed that the specs are already out in the market revealing its new technology.
WinFuture and Evan Blass said that the Galaxy S9 will have different variant, the Midnight Black, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple. The now larger S9 Plus will also have Coral Blue and Lilac Purple. Other sources from WinFuture mention that the upcoming devices will have the same display size as the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have 5.8 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with 2960 x 1440 resolution, while the S9 Plus will have 6.2 inch display with 2960 x 1440 resolution. Both screen will offer curved edges.
Both devices look almost identical to its previous models, though you would noticed a minor changes. The fingerprint sensor is now located at the bottom of the rear camera, which is a big plus!
Galaxy S9 included dual stereo speakers, on the top and another one at the bottom, this will enhance the audio experience. It will also come with a pair of AKG headphones, not sure if they are going to be free 🙂
You can bet that the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will have a excellent camera, both devices now have 8 megapixel camera on the front with f/1.7 aperture. The front shooter will also have auto focus, while on the back it will have 12 megapixel lens and a larger one on Galaxy S9 Plus, which houses two vertically aligned 12 megapixel sensors. The rear shooter will have an aperture of f/1.5 to f/2.4. Both devices will offer optical image stabilization and dual-pixel autofocus.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be powered by Exynos 9810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip, depending on your region. US and Chine will likely have the Snapdragon version, which has 2.6GHz cores and four 1.7GHz cores. The rest will get the Exynos version, which offers four 1.9GHz cores and four 2.9GHz cores. The Galaxy S9 would also have 4GB RAM while the S9 Plus will have 6GB RAM.
The Samsung’s Exynos version of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be much more powerful than the Snapdragon version, this means that the international version will have more “umph” than the US model. Though earlier this month, Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S9 was spotted on Geekbench, it scored 2378 points for single-core and 8132 points in multi-core test. While Exynos version received a 3648 points for single core and 8894 points for multi-core test.
Now, the premium version of Galaxy S9 Plus was also spotted at Geekbench, scoring 3773 points in single-core and 9024 points in multi-core test. S9 Plus performance is due to its higher 6GB RAM. Though the Exynos-powered Galaxy S9 Plus has not seen its benchmark yet, but we already know that it is better than its Snapdragon counterpart 🙂
Even though there’s a huge difference, both version are powerful and you won’t likely to notice any difference in real-life usage.
WinFuture mention that the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will offer 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB via microSD. The S9 also has 3,000mAh battery juice, while the S9 Plus will have 3,500mAh battery.

The said user reportedly works in a retail location in the US and underwent a training session for the upcoming devices. Samsung will offer a real-time translation thanks to Bixby AI Assistant, though we don’t much report about this upcoming feature.
